To the competitors, participants, and members of SMOCT;
We have decided to close SMOCT3, effective immediately. This decision was difficult to make and for some of us, positively heartbreaking. However, we believe that there are major issues present in the tournament as it currently stands, and that it would be wrong to attempt to continue the competition while they remain unaddressed.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank those that contributed to SMOCT; whether with their art and words, their time and effort, or even just their presence. We wish you all the very best in your future endeavors.

For someone who knows almost nothing about what happend I sond incredible sappy don't I? Hopefully no one takes this the wrong way.

There was a case of severe bullying, and an attempted takeover by three members. Those were banned by the judges.
After that, they started a campaign against the judges, and there was a massive dropout.
The judges decided to cut that off by closing SMOCT 3 for the duration.
Any other explanations by RogueSareth are due to the fact that we (meaning parasomnio, a group of artists) blocked RogueSareth because of intolerable behaviour in the closed admin area, after our roup founder Leo explicitly asked to cease any reheating of this affair, which is what RogueSareth is continuously doing.
Please accept our apologies for that.
SMOCT will be back, and hopefully in a fashion that will keep similar incidents from happening.
Soo, basically needless drama, over reactions, Tumblr staff attempting to police offsite behavior, and someone got butthurt because other members didn't like their comics
( hopefully as just a freaking OC tourny, I really don't think the judges need to get involved in whats said on other sites. )
