Hey guys,

TMM here, I just wanted to post a journal and let you all know I will be extending my break a little longer. I know a lot of you have been messaging me about restarting the group, but right now I just can't do it. It's not that I don't want to, I just need more time to figure things out. For those of you who are willing to wait long enough for me to do that, thank you for your patience. And for those who aren't, please feel free to move on somewhere else.

I once read a quote that said "Never build a house on a broken road", and I feel like SMOCT was built on a very bumpy road to begin with and it was only a matter of time before it collapsed. Now before I build it again, I need to focus on fixing the road first before fixing the house I want to put on it.

To the competitors, participants, and members of SMOCT;

We have decided to close SMOCT3, effective immediately. This decision was difficult to make and for some of us, positively heartbreaking. However, we believe that there are major issues present in the tournament as it currently stands, and that it would be wrong to attempt to continue the competition while they remain unaddressed.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank those that contributed to SMOCT; whether with their art and words, their time and effort, or even just their presence. We wish you all the very best in your future endeavors.
